Brian is one of the two Co-Founders of Green Work Apparel (https://www.greenworkapparel.com/), the parent company of multiple online fashion brands, including NORMANS (https://normansapparel.com/), which has recently launched in North America. NORMANS is a Toronto-based online men's fashion brand that not only embeds sustainability practices into their value chain, it is also a platform that uncovers intriguing stories of its Ambassadors that strives to become a source of inspiration for everyone. Here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_gjOF398cE) is one of the first NORMANS stories where the Ambassador talks about his journey of starting a business while he was still in school, including an appearance on Dragon's Den. What's interesting about Brian (https://www.linkedin.com/in/brianwong122/) and his business partner is that they are running this venture while still accelerating in their corporate jobs. They also function in a fully remote operating model, their business was incorporated in early 2021, and the last time they met in person was in 2019. Brian previously held the position of Consulting Manager in data and analytics at a top global consulting firm, and is currently working as a Senior Product Manager for one of the top traveling tech companies. In terms of credentials, Brian has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto. He has earned two Master's Degrees from Queen's University (an MBA and a Master Of Management Analytics) and also holds a CPA. Brian obtained all of these qualifications within five years. On the podcast, Brian is happy to share his thoughts and experience on: Sustaining a corporate job and entrepreneurship while still maintaining a reasonable work-life balance. Balancing conventional business goals (e.g., market shares, profitability) and aspirations in making social impacts. Building a legit business from scratch while being fully remote. Pivoting into different roles and industries throughout a professional career. The constant mindset shifting between being a corporate employee versus being a co-founder.
