Joe was born and grew up in Hong Kong in the 80's before moving to the UK in 1991 to study at Prior Park College where his specialist subjects were French, Philosophy and Economics.
He went to University in Manchester and graduated with a 2nd class honours degree in Philosophy and Psychology, majoring in Criminal Psychology with a dissertation on the effectiveness of offender profiling.
After graduating in 1998, Joe decided to pursue his passion for music and studied Sound Engineering and Music technology at the School of Sound Recording (SSR) in Manchester. After graduating in the top 5% of his class, Joe moved down to London and gained work experience at the Dairy Studios in Brixton, where he worked as a runner for Duran Duran for 3 months, as well as a host of other top artists.
In 2002 Joe got a job as the Assistant Engineer at Soho Recording Studios, where he stayed for 7 years eventually moving up to the role of Chief In-House Engineer. It was at Soho Studios where Joe got to work with a host of top name Artists such as Sir Paul McCartney, Dido, Akon, Pharrell Williams, Placebo, Ben Harper and many, many more.
Unfortunately the music industry started suffering greatly from digital transformation, with people downloading music for free. Record labels started merging and iTunes was the dominant force. It was soon apparent that the career Joe had chosen was no longer sustainable, so he retrained in Digital Marketing by taking the Diploma Course at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
In 2014 Joe started working for Onalytica, a SaaS company that helps brands and agencies identify and engage with influencers. he started out at Onalytica working 50% of the time as an analyst on the Microsoft team and 50% as a Marketing Assistant. He then moved to full time Digital Marketing in 2015 where his role included activities such as:

Joe's interests outside work include reading, photography, music, travel, rugby, film & TV, song writing and stand-up comedy.
